Hercules Lions FC U9s – WIN Wendover Tournament |

| Hercules Lions U9s took part in the annual Wendover football tournament at RAF Halton on 13th June.
They came out on top winning their age group final 2-0 against Penn & Tylers Green.
In their first competitive year this is the Lions second tournament win, having won the Haddenham event back in September.
Hercules Lions had made the Final by coming through four league games unscathed which sent them into the Quarter Finals against Penn & Tylers ‘B’, which they won on a penalty shoot-out after dominating the match. The semi-final was a closer affair against Aston Clinton with the Lions squeezing past 1-0.
In the Final the Lions played sublime football, putting Penn under constant pressure before Oliver Shearer broke the deadlock from a corner.
The second half was a tense affair with the Lions continuing to make lots of chances. With minutes to go the Lions were awarded a penalty, Max Hercules stepped up and calmly scores to settle the match.
